Here's an important update for everyone running phpBB. Upgrade your forum now!

phpBB Group announces the release of phpBB 2.0.20, the "Golden Super Furry Linen" edition.
This release is a cumulative bug fix update, as well as including a number of minor security fixes.

We have also introduced a new feature to allow you to limit how often a user may conduct a search if you find that searches are putting a load on your server, as well as changing the default permissions on new forums so that you must explicitly make them available for guests to post in and enabling visual confirmation by default on all new installs.

As with all new releases we urge you to update as soon as possible. You can of course find this download available on our downloads page

http://www.phpbb.com/downloads.php

Thanks for the heads up :).

webmonkey, I'd say you may have just forgotten SOMETHING or did something wrong.

If you're pretty confident though, you might want to go on the phpbb forum and report it.

don't all your mods have to be reinstalled when you upgrade?

Most mods won't even be affected by this update. It doesn't seem like a very big upgrade (mostly minor changes)

Did you resolve this problem yet?

Your best bet is to find the changes you made to any of the admin code and recheck your coding. It's probably just a missed character or some other simple error.

Depending on the mod, yes it is very possible that the mods installed will need to be re-installed, regardless of how 'small' the update may seem.

I haven't upgraded since 2.0.17 .. I don't quite hurry to update the script. I would rather install more hacks on it .. thought, maybe when I get some time I will try to make the code changes.
