Hi folks.

I just got an offer for my domain "php.info" in the mid x.xxx € range. To be honest: I don´t have to and I dont really want to sell for this price. What´d you think? I´m still thinking of developiong it into a php-community and sell it in like two years time...

So the question is: developing or selling it now?

Thanks.

Counter for $50k and if you dont get it (you probably wont but worth a try instead of just declining the offer) then keep it and develop it. No point in throwing it away for so little money if you dont need the money.

It's an excellent .info but I'd say take the mid X,XXX Euros offer and reinvest it in another premium .info with wider appeal. 95% of Internet users either haven't heard of PHP, have little interest in it, or use another language and there are hundreds of PHP forums on the Internet already. Techy people are more interested in information quality than domain names and unless you are one of the best PHP programmers out there you will have nothing new to add on the subject. For all you know, PHP could be replaced by PHPA or PHPB tomorrow and your domain would become virtually worthless. Somebody was trying to sell HTML.info on this site and wasn't getting any offers.
Sell. I'd say with all the new competition, PHP's popularity is slowly declining.

I wouldn't sell it. PHP is the most widely used programming language on the web. Its worth much more.
