Hi folks.

I just got an offer for my domain "php.info" in the mid x.xxx € range. To be honest: I don´t have to and I dont really want to sell for this price. What´d you think? I´m still thinking of developiong it into a php-community and sell it in like two years time...

So the question is: developing or selling it now?

Thanks.

It's a good offer but I would develop, add value and sell later at a higher price.

That is to low imo, what a gem, i would develope it, It is easy to sell a gem of a name like PHP.info, But it's hard to replace a gem like that for a fair price.

I agree, the price is much too low.. development is the way for sure.

Good Luck!

Exceptional name, I would hold onto it if you're not in any hurry to sell it

Hold on to it, it will be difficult to get another similar name

Well if you want to sell I would sell it only for low XX,XXX offers since this is a premium domain name, with huge development potential.

However, if you don't want to sell and you have development plans for this name I would decline that offer, as mid X,XXX is too low for this one.

Best of luck,
SW

IMO it's a good offer.
I would appraise in the mid- to high-$,$$$$ range, plus you've got an offer in €, it's better than US$ :)

low offer.
I would most certainly decline or counter offer at XX,XXX

I would sell it and buy a .com as you can use the money to start an online business with very little cost.put the money in bank for interest or investment in some foundation fund.

But final decision is made by you only

Thereon add pages, and build community

All the best :)

It is such a great name. If you are not a devloper and need the money I would say counter if you can and/or take the offer.

A name like this is only going to go up in value especially if you develope it.

Best of luck to you, whatever you choose. :)

I agree - the price will always go up...

And if you want to sell... I read somewhere on NM Forums...

Quote a higher price - you can always bring the offier down

Best :)

It's an excellent .info but I'd say take the mid X,XXX Euros offer and reinvest it in another premium .info with wider appeal. 95% of Internet users either haven't heard of PHP, have little interest in it, or use another language and there are hundreds of PHP forums on the Internet already. Techy people are more interested in information quality than domain names and unless you are one of the best PHP programmers out there you will have nothing new to add on the subject. For all you know, PHP could be replaced by PHPA or PHPB tomorrow and your domain would become virtually worthless. Somebody was trying to sell HTML.info on this site and wasn't getting any offers.

If you have resources, develop it instead of selling it right now, it's quite a low offer...

php.info is cool as of now. I would try to push up from mid X,XXX euros to high X,XXX euros and make the deal. Although its a good name, you never know how long php would rock. Sell it when it is still a gem and invest the money in a more generic name which withstands time. :)
