PHP - GD - PNG text

I have this webpage creating images using php:

but if you notice the font of the text it doesnt look as good as what I want it to. My script uses this link V to create the image but how would I go about fixing my scripts' text font to make it look more identical?

Don't use imagestring

make sure you uploaded the true type font on the same directory and have gd library enabled on your hosting account.

I uploaded Verdana.TTF and Verdanab.TTF and used this code:

imagettftext($template, 9, 0, 8, 15, $textcolor_name, "Verdana.TTF", "ninedogger");

but using that function, things seem to be blurred around the text and also..using Verdana (like on gamercard.xbox.com/ninedogger.card) it isn't bold enough but Verdanab (verdana bold) is to much bold lol
