Photo Gallery...what is the easiest way?

Hello everyone...

I am needing to find the best way to contruct a quick photo page, that I can add photos to later on.

What I am looking for:

I want to be able to create a folder that holds all my images. Then when a person goes to a web page, I want that page to read the folder, and autogenerate thumbnails. When the user clicks on the thumbnail, it will enlarge the picture. Can be on the same page, or a new page.

Can this be done? ...and... is this easier with PHP or javascript????

Isn't that a web page inside itself? I thought that a link from your site goes to that? Or do you use that gallery within your website?
