Hi NamePros members,
I'd like to ask for your opinion on one of my domains.

MarchGoods.com

I believe it has good branding potential and could work well for an e-commerce business, consumer products company, or lifestyle brand.

If you were selling this domain in today's market:
  • What price would you ask?
  • What would be your expected wholesale and retail value?
  • Would you hold it long-term or sell it quickly?
I'd really appreciate your honest opinions and the reasons behind your valuation.
Thank you!

Hi

sorry, it's a poor name for branding
the two words don't complement each other in any way

no reseller value

I have a premium domain, sir: faurda.com. I put a lot of thought into choosing this name, and I believe it carries a strong philosophy. My vision is to position it as a fintech brand.

I'm confident enough to hold onto it for as long as it takes until it sells for $15,888.

What do you think, sir? I'd really appreciate your honest opinion and any advice you can share.

Hi

whatโ€™s premium about it, looks like every other โ€œhow do you pronounce itโ€ name.

sure, you can โ€œposition โ€œ it in any sector and set price at your discretion, but whatโ€™s going to make it speak to a viewer?

imo..,

New registered name are not PREMIUM.
There is a reason why it's available.
You will be a millionaire in a month even if you can sell for $1,588

Thank you sir,

Brandable domains are often subjective. Some of the biggest brands today were unfamiliar names before they became established.

I believe Faurda has a clean, memorable structure and fits well as a fintech or technology brand. It may not appeal to every investor, but I'm comfortable holding it until the right end user sees the value.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I understand that many newly registered domains never become valuable. However, every premium domain was once newly registered. My strategy is to target the right end user rather than a reseller, and I'm comfortable holding it for the long term.

If you're that convinced you're right, what's the point of opening an appraisal request in the first place?

Jika Anda begitu yakin bahwa Anda benar, lalu apa gunanya mengajukan permintaan penilaian sejak awal?
Thank you sir,
That's a fair question. I asked for an appraisal because I wanted to hear different perspectives, not because I expected everyone to agree with me. I appreciate the feedback, even if I have a different long-term view of the domain.

If you are confident enough to hold it until it sells for almost $16,000, are you also confident enough to renew it for another 9 years?

Cool strategy.

Can you share your process for identifying and targeting an end user for a brandable, invented name based on your vision?

Sorry, it looks like the system hasn't updated yet. The original asking price was indeed $9,888, which is what I initially listed.
After discussing the domain privately with several fellow domain investors and friends, some believed that Faurda.com has strong potential as a fintech brand. A few even suggested that, in the long term, a valuation of around $35,000 could be reasonable. These were private discussions, not opinions expressed in this or any public forum thread.
Based on that feedback, I decided to set the asking price at $15,888 as a middle ground. That said, the price is still negotiable, and installment payments are available for qualified buyers.
I'm positioning Faurda.com primarily as a fintech brand, and the landing page is still being updated to reflect that.

Thank you for your question.

My approach is fairly straightforward. I first define the industry where I believe the domain has the strongest branding potential. For Faurda.com, I'm focusing on fintech because the name sounds modern, memorable, and suitable for a financial technology company.

From there, I research startups, fintech founders, branding agencies, and companies that may be launching new products or rebranding. I also list the domain on major marketplaces so it has maximum exposure while remaining available to the right buyer.

I'm still learning and refining my outbound strategy, so I'm always open to hearing how others approach it as well.

Please correct this misattribution as soon as possible.

@URL Stream never used those words and is in complete disagreement with that statement.

Yes, I am confident, and I'm fully prepared to renew this domain for as many years as necessary. Setting aside around $20 per year for the renewal is a small investment compared to the potential value I see in the name.

Faurda wasn't chosen randomly. I spent a great deal of time thinking about its sound, branding potential, memorability, and the direction I wanted it to represent. Every aspect of the name was considered carefully.

I understand that branding is subjective, and not everyone will see the same potential. However, I believe Faurda has a distinctive identity and a strong fit for the fintech space. That's the vision I'm presenting to potential end users and investors.

Thank you for pointing that out. I apologize if my reply created that impression. I wasn't referring to you or suggesting that you agreed with that valuation. I was referring to discussions I had with other investors in different domain communities. I'll clarify my wording to avoid any misunderstanding.
