Pending delete

If a domain name is pending delete is it absolutely possitively going to be deleted no matter what? Does the owner have one last chance to get it? Can the registar change it from pending delete and keep it. In other words if I snapped a pending delete could I lose it?

Pending Delete's are on six-day cycles ... so if it went on "PD" today (7/1), it would drop on (7/7) @ 2 p.m. EST. Once it's in the "PD" cycle, I know of no circumstance that it can be reclaimed by the original owner, or the Regisrar/Registry keeping it ... but I guess anything is possible. If you Snap it, there is NO guarantee you'd get it regardless. You'd by wise to get both the Snap, and the NW (Namewinner) high bid if you really want it, IMHO. (Even then, there is NO guarantee, remember). It's simply the best one can do.

Unsure of "pool", but isn't "backorder" the same as Snaps?!?

Pool is pool.com, a similar service as Namewinner.

It's still relatively new, but has scored a few good ones like sheds.net and seen.com Backorder might be referring to Godaddy Backorder, which is a good service for the price.

Personally I think your going to see a major change in the way deleted domains are handled in the coming months.
Its about time NSI/ICANN got a spankin IMO.

those places have their good days and their bad. Worth a shot though if you really want it. Some are bidding, Drop Wizard is first come first serve I believe.

GoDaddy... well... (GoDaddy == backorder)
its godaddy... they catch a good one here and there, but overall they have not become a shining star or caught a really great name yet to my knowledge. Just a three letter .com or two is the best they have grabbed (that I have seen).
