Any good Payment Processor scripts out there? I heard that E-Pay is horrible, basically, I just see a real opportunity to start one up. Paypal is horrible, so I'm interested in starting a new payment processor, either from a script [modified] or a new developed script from scratch.

Financial contributions: If you want to join the "team", you can, I won't ask you for money, but you should have some monetary value to contribute when the time comes to create an LLP, also to reserve the name in its entirely. You will have earned yourself ownership by doing so.

Developers: Developers can either join the team without having to contribute $$$, or they can do work for us on the script for a standard rate.

If you have any knowledge on law, that would be great, too. I live in New Jersey, so if you want to get in contact with me:

I'm dead serious about this, I think Paypal sucks, I would love to donate time and $$$ to a project like this. I hope this proposal isn't against the TOS here in NP, I just see tons of "paypal did it again" threads, also I lurk Paypalsucks.com, so I see alot of potential here.

i think that will be real hard to accomplish as you will need to deal with many banks to confirm all the client transactions... etc... and much more things like this.

Such as support.

Just my opinion.

Probably. But then there's AlertPay, there's many independent Payment Processors running around, some scamming people, so it is very feasible, there would also be a market for it. Payment processors may 'seem' all high and mighty, but in reality, there's really not that much regulation when it comes to them.

The industry might not be that regulated, but Paypal is now an established business, so they will work within the law, they don't want an F rating in the BBB! They have no choice but to work within the law, Ebay owns them, so even though the industry isn't regulated that much, they still make sure they don't pwn people...too much ;)

Ever check out the E-Pay script? It may be horrible, but I was wondering if I could fix it up. And in reference to banks/financial institutions, some have even partnered with mail scammers that send you fake $9.00 checks to deposit, so that they can drain your account LEGALLY if you're not smart.

Banks exist to make money, so as long as you're legit, as long as they'll make money, you can count on any bank to work with you.
