Hey guys,

Recently I see many sales are reported and it's very cool, so I want to hear your expirience in sales of dot tv domains.

Do you have mainly passive sales or active?

Active it's when you're contacting the enduser.
Passive is when they are contacting you / purchasing from you via auction houses / brokers (Sedo, Godaddy etc.)

I have something like this:

90% active
10% passive

I think it's a bad balance cause active sale is almost always means less profit.

Would be great if you would share your balances :)

Thanks, Nick

Im about 50/50.
Passive on best, active on some of my lower quality names.
Never try contact buyers on my top names but i have about 10 average .tv's at anytime that i'm looking to flip.

99% passive
1% active

All depends on your profile Nick. If you are looking for your names to create margin immediately, you will be much more active and that may warrant you leaving cash on the table. At the other end of the spectrum, you could be waiting out for a long time before portfolio costs crush you. I am one to take singles and doubles to keep things running and then wait out on the names I feel hold much higher value. Just me though. Everyone is different.

Always passive.

Time has a value and I have not found active marketing of domain names to generate an attractive return. I know there are domainers who find active marketing to work for them. It might be worth noting that my .TV domains typically sell for more than my .COM domains. But I don't yet see a lot of acquisitions by end users.
