What do you think? the first one reminded me of a character from an old sitcom. can you guess who?

I would say regfee now, perhaps you can get abit more from someone, but the value isnt much more than regfee. The reason is that theres still a few decent LLLL.com's out there.

What I am sure of is that the value is only going one way with 4letter com's, and thats up :). Theres only 50k available names now, out of 450k.

I would hold on to them for a while and see how the market turns out.

Good luck,
Andree

Reg fee. 4 character .com have no value until they are pronounceable.

I suspect you mean Opie from Andy Griffith, doomed to walk the same road and drop the same fish again and again for eternity.

I am sure that some will say that they are pronounceable and worthy for that reason. Along with most other "pronouncables" presented these days I do not imagine a business choosing to market a product would bid them particularly high. They certainly are more pronouncable than many. The letter quality is fair at best. (but never mention letter quality or the PC cops will neg you)

Google shows a string of blogs by someone(s) using the name OWPY. Both names have a modest Google result of around 2K, about average for what is left.

As Rawandy mentioned the value of LLLL.coms seems poised for a sharp rise. It certainly has been predicted for a long time and the number available continues to fall. Nothing is certain in domaining but LLLL.coms nowadays seem pretty close, assuming you are prepared to renew them.

Reg fee as they are unpronouncable & contain non-premium letters

reg. fee for both of them. I actually reg. OWPY.com last week and decided to drop it because I have more than 100 LLLL.com.

reg. fee for now but hold on to it the value will increase a year from now.

Thanks for replies. I agree with Rawandy that values will go up. if you look at some of the recent sales it definitely points in that direction. Accentnepal you guessed right.
Xman you must have some pretty good holdings if you dropped Owpy com.
Thanks Again

Without a doubt LLLL.com's are on a sharp rise (see sig for domain sales history) and there selling like crazy, even non-pronounceable ones. I would value these particular domain names in the <$25 crowd. I think that if your smart, and hunt down the best places to sell them, you'll turn a profit today. However, they are right. Holding onto them until the end of this year will also bring a tidy profit.

Thanks domainspade! I plan on holding on to them for a while. I have a good feeling about the future of LLLL.coms. so i've picked up about a dozen or so and looking for more.

I think a wise investment, try to steer clear of non-pronounceables. The ones you have are pushing what that would be considered. If you are looking to purchase some quality ones, let me know - I have several.

I don't know if i made the right decision replacing OWPY.com with OFYV.com but in any case OWPY is a good LLLL.com. I'm just glad to see a fellow NPer got hold of it.

good luck with that LLLL.com :) I hope you get the most you can

...but what about NNNN? do you think those will increase in value anytime soon?

I also have a four letter.com (OLYQ.com) and trust me its reg fee at the moment !

The real market will start after 2010 in my opinion , so this is a good investment ;)

Good Luck

Thanks xman! i know how it feels. i've passed up on some names then see them listed here. at least they are in the community.
veli20 i don't think the NNNN will do much in the near future, but i'm an infant in this business so i would'nt put much stock in my opinions. maybe some of the more experienced members can weigh in on that!
