Is a high overture score (say 80,000, without extension) alone enough to warrent registering a name?

80,000 is damn high - er, why dojn't you tell me the name and I'll tell you whether to go ahead ;)

Seriously, that is quite high. If it's a .com (I doubt it - would already be gone now) then go for it.

What type of domain is it? .com, .net, etc.?

It's a .com that's available (again, without extension). It isn't in banking or law, or some extremely high value area...and it's three words...as for telling you the name...well, maybe after I register...if I do... ;)

Is it one word, two words, three words ... exactly what is being inputed here into Overture's search? What kind of results is it getting ("within quotes") at Google, and also at MSN's new search? Can you give us more to go on here? :talk:
Thanks.

Added: Ahhh ... I see now it's "three words", in this case I would say generally no, do not bother IMHO. Again, it still depends on other factors, though. :gl:

The more I thought about it the more I thought it was less than stellar because of the 3 word thing...but, I'm still learning so I turned to the pros.

Thanks for the feed back.

It really depends what the three words are. Go to dnjournal.com and you'll see that a 3-word domain recently sold for a lot of money.

The other thing you have to be sure of is that Overture lists the search terms in alphabetical order. Make sure you have them the right way round or it won't be as valuable.

For instance, top overture search is "tsunami pictures". So I bought picturestsunami.com but it gets hardly any traffic.

Hope this helps
