How it is possible overpriced domain names in that scandalous way.
Only to do an example:

On Sedo:
safetoinvest.com - price $ 125,000. Estibot appraisal - $ 290.
investyourfund.com - price $ 500,000. Estibot appraisal - less than $ 100.

Why that? Do owners really think to sell at those prices their DN?

Both of these domains were recently registered and are owned by the same individual. Likely someone with a very limited experience of the aftermarket.

A lot of new domainers enter the market after having seen financial guru on YouTube promising that hand-registering domains easily yields hundreds of thousands of dollars if it contains some tech or finance related terms.

It's not about the owner decides the price, but thinking that those names could sell at that price.
If we price an object following the request of market... then we can say those DN (very not premium domains) are overpriced.
Obviously if the owner are playing with domaining, why don't price them $1,500,000.
I'm not here for playing.

Since you started this pointless thread, you obviously need to study more before registering anything..

I don't care about what others do, I observe what they do to know what I should do. Knowing of what others do and if what they do works or not Is a way to learn, to study, ti compare. Simple!

HI

here's the perspective > if you don't ask for that amount, then you'll never get it.

for now, it always remains the sellers prerogative to price their names as they see fit.
however, in the future, ai may change that.

Hi

you can follow and see what they do, but unless you have the "exact same domains" that they have, then what?
if you don't have as much cash as them, then what?

it's like if i posted a thread and said i sold 10 names in 3 days on the new marketplace gobledegupe.com, then some of the readers might want to move their names there, hoping to get same or similar results.

one has to get the insider info from those who make sales.
as in, why they initially acquired it, how much they paid, how long they held it, etc.,etc.

imo....

A domain name is worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it. It’s always easier when the buyer comes to you with a sensible offer on what they think it’s worth. Unfortunately, that doesn’t happen very often.

Estibot is great when shows a seller friendly valuation, but is completely useless when a domain is priced at many multiples over the Estibot valuation.

Remember, all domain names have an initial value of $0.00 before they are created.

Most domainers are guilty of this at one point of another.

The examples I did were random... only to show my perplexity.
We all repeat always that premium domains, domains that users are willing to pay a high price (I consider $125,000 and $500,000 high prices), have to be short, memorable, pronounceable, etc... those names haven't those qualities.
I don't care about others, I don't know the owners, I've done an example to think about what we say and what we do.
How can the end-users trust domainers if they see such inconsistencies?
We live in a free world, I agree, but credibility is built with clear, true, and coherent behavior. Or not?

Hi

endusers don't have the same curiosities that you have about price variations
when seeking to buy, typically they are only looking at one or a few names to fill the spot.

once they narrow it down, then price is remaining factor to be decided.

the only trust involved, is that both parties hope the other follows thru with the deal.
when a marketplace is involved, or escrow.com, then each party may have more confidence in a successful transaction.

imo...

You can't comment, critique on what the seller chooses to do with his money, or time...,

Then, how much time I have wasted and still wasted reading posts, articles, and guides by experts who teach what are premium domains, how to value a DN, AI appraisal, etc.
F***ing everything... buy a DN at $10 or $100 or even $500 and sell it on a marketplace for $500,000 , no, better $1,000,000. :xf.cool:

Domaining is like a lucky Roulette, you never know when the wheel stops at the proper domain!

Thinking Estibot appraisals are worthy of being mentioned is just as stupid, if not more.
