Hello everyone! hope you are all doing well I recently bought this domain and wanted to know your opinion. The domain is a one word .net, it is 24+ years old, and has a GD appraisal of $4553. It is strongly related to the computer science / IT industry and could be suitable for stress testing activities on networks or applications. I thank everyone who will take some time appraising it
HI There It seems like it's at least a short worded domain. I guess I'm just wandering though in what context this domain could be used? I suppose perhaps in terms of a powergrid or a different context. Also something that I always think of personally is that if the other extensions are registered than are any of them perhaps registered trade marks or a business using that name in a specific niche. I'm not sure of the legal implications regarding that but I would suggest trying to do a check on that too. I see that similar domains have sold and using the really good appraisal tool from Godaddy confirms the valuation at over 4K. insane.net $ 4 999 (USD) colossal.net $ 2 570 (USD) elevated.net $ 5 000 (USD) I hope this helps.
I thank you for the time taken to appraise it, I really appreciate it Imo the domain has very good brandability and could therefore fit well in various contexts. Regarding your concern about trademarks the term "overload" is quite broad so as long as its not used in the same niche of a registered trademark with a very similar name I wouldn't consider it a threat. Thank you for the advice It actually expires in a relatively long time therefore I'm not in a hurry to sell it. I think developing it could enhance a lot its value. Thanks again though
The name looks generalise...I think you are right regarding your view on Trade Mark concern. Still doubly check is always advisable IMO!
I don’t see this as a TM risk but that’s just me. It’s a great name and I see the value in the $x,xxx range.
