For all things...you know...Organic.

Any ideas on value?

Cheers.

Speaking from a reseller's point of view, I know the least it's worth and I know the most it's worth.

I've had a few mid-$xxxx offers but turned it down. That I think is the low end.

I've also put it on the Great Domains auction last year. In order for Sedo to put it in the auction, they must believe the domain name is sellable, and that the price it's offered at is realistic.

The price Sedo and I worked out was $35,500.

It didn't sell.

So that, I'm assuming, is the high end for resellers.

The value, then, is somewhere in-between.

End-users, however, are a completely different story.

Would not have turned down those offers for a .us

Well, I sold Yes.us a while back for $9,999, so I figured Organic.us would be more valuable.

A domain is worth what you actually receive cash for. Right now it is technically worth nothing because you have not received any money for it. I'll assume you and everyone else disagrees with that statement. Kind of reminds me about people who list collectibles on Ebay that no one buys at their listed price. They can say that by listing it at that price that's what its worth, but unless someone actually pays for it, its worth nothing.

People may have offered you something for it but unless you convert it into cash, thats irrelevant as its worth nothing.

If you need a tool to appraise domains, then domaining is not for you. No tool can teach you what makes a domain valuable. You are going to lose money on worthless regs like so many newbies, and it's a fact...
Very sad that we still have to dispel that kind of myth in 2014...

Whatever

So using your logic, Sex.com wasn't worth a penny until it was sold (or stolen) for $Millions years after it was first regged?

Like an automated appraisal.

And thus, a new type of zero-based accounting is born. Convincing everyone their assets are worth nothing should be easy.

This kind of when-a-tree-falls-and-no-one-is-around-does-it-make-a-sound rationale is the last refuge for indefensible stands.

Well then Dave put your money where your mouth is and offer to buy it from her for $x,xxx+. If not, then you're just like sports writers who criticize teams for not spending millions of their money for players. Its easy to spend other people money when its not yours.

Of course, since you are still defending your 25% formula, you would have no problem putting your money where your mouth is, would you, noob?

10k and it's parked. Nice sale. Best of luck with this one too

HaHa Good Point! There are always exceptions

Obviously if you have non-stop suiters and standing offers to sell something when you chose, its worth more than nothing. But if that isn't the case then I stand with what I said.
