I am not sure how many of you have heard of Tom Rolfson, but his reputation and vast network of contacts witin the domaining industry aswell as out of the domaining industry are well known to very large number of people. To others do some research for a full breakdown.
Here is a superquick Bio
One of the lesser-known facts is that he began doing .coms even before there was an AOL, MSN, Yahoo, eBay or Amazon He still owns xxxx (07/94 older than all the forementioned.) which evolved from being a co-founder of ChatLink in '91.
It was the world's first privately-held international chat, message & gaming network. (aka "Social Networking")
As early-adopters go...he was the also the first online Avon sales reps (he had women in a dozen cities distribute for him), sold concert tickets online in 1994... years before Ticketmaster did.
Anyway Tom has had mid-high 4 figure deals, one five-figure and one six-figure(the last two both to end-users/broadcast companies and bound by NDA.) in the TV extension to date.
He also made sure that he was around on the 18th for the landrush, despite very recent surgery.
I asked Tom if I could copy and paste his comments on his Facebook page to the .tv forum. He had no problem.
Some of his comments:
Cat's out of the bag... all premium priced .TV names have been reduced and the renewal rate is now at the standard .TV rate, not the premium every year. If you're in the market... I've been very busy buying and have some GREAT names for almost any industry.

James, I've been big on .TV's for years and held a fair # long before Rich put the deal together with Verisign. The highest premium I had bought before was $7500/yr and felt it a fair price. Own a fair number of city names too......
Now I can tell you this is not the exception as to who has been buying heavily since the landrush, he may be the exception, for now, who does not have anything to hide about his appreciation for the extensions potential and past deals done.
