how does urban-arcadia.net sound for a personal site? would a .org look nicer? what other uses do you think is possible (mainly personal-related)?

That's a cool name. However I must admit I don't like hyphenated domain names much because I always forget to put them in

I agree... a "-" is not a good idea in most cases.
