personally i think all the secondlife and 'virtual world' sites are just starting

virtual reality and virtual worlds is where we are heading

think my v-w(.)com (virtual world) will get a large price one day, especially as the non-hyphenated cannot be bought, unless you fancy buying the multi-billion dollar company with it?

these combinations you cited arent L-L simply
D-N can be for a specific niche, us, but we see it and recognize it as domain name(s); the others is known by people in general so these names would go easily for much much more than $500

L-L.com are definetly GREAT domain names, IMO. Well worth the values stated. And as someone said, you don't see as many sales because there just aren't as many available.
