i am not saying this doesnt have value, people who buy tm domains might see some value on it or if any opera theatre is interested in it thats my opinion but most of us here will say its a trademark domain and ofcourse its parked , so if the company is to get a udrp for it , you will loose it easily because its their trademark. You can make arguments that its related to another "opera" the singing act but i would be careful with parking because if it shows any content thats related with the Opera browser , its going to be easy for them to establish bad faith. So i guess making a mini site with opera content, new events , news such such would be nice than parking.

I thought it might be TM'd also.. but the research I did didn't show up with any trademark issues. Maybe I wasn't researching properly... Can you recommend a site (free) where you can research this?

Ok.. I will say this one more time.

I don't want my thread to get "sidelined" discussing possible TM issues.

I registered the name in good faith, hoping to cash in on Opera and Opera music related activities.

I was not aware of any sort of software with the same name.

Now for my "rant"...

As soon as TM issues were brought up, I did some research and have come to the conclusion that there is absolutely NO infringement of any sort.

If somebody has any info showing otherwise, please PM me the info. In the meantime, I don't think the posters that have mentioned possible TM issues have provided any info showing such. It is my belief, that "defaultuser" et al. are posting "gut feelings" and nothing more. This doesn't cut it boys! You have no right to hijack my thread with your useless drivel... Stay off the thread and spout your jibberish elsewhere.

I would really appreciate more values/appraisals from knowledgeable posters...

$xx if you could get it a search position anywhere ahead of the first 30 pages in google currently owned by sites who have content related to the opera browser.

Trademark. WOuld be like regging Internet Explorer Browser or Safari Browser. . But even if it was not a huge TM issue its worth maybe $x but I would not waste any money renewing it if you dont flip it for $xx in a year.

Not sure what $xx means... $10 or $99 ... quite a difference there.. but I will assume it is the lower end of the scale, much like other posters have suggested..

Worth nothing. Let it expire. You unfortunately wasted money. Beyond the trademark issue whether it is one or not - while this could make money, it IMO is not worth touching.

Sorry for the bad news - it just isn't memorable and I don't feel it's worth anything. Of course, I can be proven wrong - up for the challenge? Help this guy out

i hope i am not making you "sad" by saying this but this is what we do here, we give our opinions about the domain name , we just dont value them , we also give reason why such value is appropriate , few posts above you said dont say anything about trademark , its like asking a appraisal for a house and telling the Realtor dont look at its neighborhood.

i dont know where you researched but any search engine you hit "opera" you see the software links even before seeing anything about opera acts

Value wise maybe xx , but its a total trademark and not wise to park the domain in parking companies, a mini site would be better
