Recently registered openanalytics.org for a new project. I haven't announced the domain yet, but it's already receiving direct traffic.

There are 35,200,000 Google results for open analytics and 50,900,000 for open source analytics.

I don't plan on selling the domain, but would like to know if it has any value. Especially since there are already a few open source analytics projects available.

Hey, I'm not sure about the value of your name but for FYI it's important that you use speechmarks when checking google results. By that I mean you should search for "open analytics" rather than just open analytics and search for "open source analytics" rather than open source analytics.

Searching for the exact phrase "open analytics" only gives us 1,450 results, so it doesn't seem like a very popular term.

I would still like a few more people to share their thoughts on the domain.

My real-time analytics service is all but ready (finishing the design this weekend!) and currently has about 30 people using it. It's a service comparable to amung.us, but can be run from your own server.

I am also finishing a slimmed down Google Analytics/Urchin clone that can either be run from my site or your own. The main reason I'm making them is so my other projects can use the system to provide clients with analytics in real time.

Any thoughts on just the name?

p.s. try out the real-time version at http://openanalytics.org/get - watch out, the design is quite bare right now.

Currently tracking a little over 10,000 unique visitors and 50,000 pageviews per week across 149 domains. It also looks like openanalytics.org ranks #4 for open analytics (no quotes) in Google.

Any value for the domain?
