online--jobs.com

A domain name with a double-dash.

What do you think?

Does it have any value at all?

Haha, that was expected, I am just curious though.

I was thinking maybe it is good for SEO, but...
hmm... what do other members think?

good keyword domain, though those dashes really do not help the value of the domain. I would be curious to see how the search engines treated this domain, sorry to me, not more than reg fee.

good domain but dashes really hurts it. Reg fee only

Reg fee without development, but Google treats dashes as normal spaces so this would be good for SEO as you said.

Because you have 2 dashes. They made the value of domain down.
Reg fee if no development.

Hmm...

If someone searches for "online jobs", won't this domain have some advantage?
Anyone have any experience in SEO?
Or will domain such as online-jobs-random-text-here.com work as well?

Thanks for all your appraisals though, +rep

if someone searches "online jobs" it will help, but unless you're a real SEO pro, then it is unlikely that you will rank for such a niche anyway. strictly from an SEO standpoint, you are probably better off with online-jobs-random-text-here.com.

Most would say Reg--Fee-IMhO or a--similiar--Response
But as I teach in my Tertiary Level Domain and EMAIL Name selection course, names are still very usable with hyphens (even double dashs) but the MOST important thing for search engines is Not keyword friendly names or Keyword MetaTAGS but Relevant Content
so my appraisal is
Undeveloped regFee
Developed with Good Content Low $xxx- Mid $xxx

Thanks shockie, that's what I thought too.
Maybe this "trick" will work in other niches, but for the "online jobs" niche there are so many competitions.

Barefoottech, sorry if my question sounds stupid but... what do you mean by "Tertiary Level Domain and EMAIL Name selection course"? Are you a lecturer in university?

So far I am satisfied with all your appraisals;
conclusion: for this name the key is development.
Fortunately it is still in the grace period :)

NO, I am not a University lecturer
I teach / lecture / mentor - Internet Wannabe's at a Private College in Australia
What I teach is an effective 'Web Presence' depends on the Name & content (Not only from a Search engine's need's ,but how the advertised name & Email address looks and sounds to the potential Website visitors)

you are all here saying without development 0, we must appraise here a domain and not a website, any good website wih a bad domain but still visited its good.
I stil dont understand the development thing

Oh I see... That's great to hear, Internet is penetrating everywhere :)

IllCodeForFood: true, true... I think saying "must be developed to have value" means the domain has little end-user potential or does not have any type-in traffics.

Registration fees for now but if you develop it then it will give you high amount.
