Hi guys - first post, it's nice to be here.

I have client who requires an online gallery that he can update as and when.

He should be ok with ftp and I'm not too sure if I should design a HTML page and he can use ftp to transfer the images (he'll need a thumbnail expanding to a large image), or is there some software that he can use that will create and upload the pages for him.

What's the best way to do this guys?

Cheers

You could design his site with Joomla, which is a CMS. That would be very easy to update.

Well if you are coding it in pure HTML that is surely going to require you / him to add code every time a picture is added or removed.

Guess it all depends on your clients preference and how fluent he is with HTML.
I would suggest you take a look around at websites such as www.hotscripts.com and look for a good PHP based image gallery.

Regards.

Hello and welcome to NamePros.

Coppermine is a good solution for a gallery.
