One Question on serious issue

Hello Every one!
I would like to know some thing for the experts. Let's hope some one has copied my design. Will i be able to trace out the site. If yes How?. I mean how I will be able to know that some one has copied my design?

Well, there is no way to know that unless you actually visit the site. If they copied your website image for image, without even changing the image name.. you could try googling for your image name (home_12.gif) and maybe you might find some results.

Also, I should hope that you don't hope that someone has copied your design..

Joey, that's to search for the CONTENT on your website and see if other websites copied it. When it comes to layouts, it's virtually impossible to do a search like that because of the different ways the website is coded and the different image names. However, I believe that a company COULD take a screenshot of all the websites and then get an algorithm which would match similar layouts together.

Well, Searching for the image with the image name given by "ashu@webnewtons" will never work because as they can always change the image name and upload them.

I think Copyscape.com does a decent job. Try searching Boostsurveys.com on copyscape and you will see an exact copy of the website, Most of the credit repair and survey sites are alike.

Hopefully noone copied your site. Good luck.

Exactly, searching for your images most likely won't work. BUT, some people just right click with firefox and "save page as..." which saves the flash, and most images I believe.

All we can do is hope that they don't use your layout, and if they do... then take it as a compliment since they think your design is good (obviously you won't know who is copying your design..)
