hey all,
Havin a bit of a downer :( ..I have had 1 offer in the 11months that I have been buying domain names, and that was one big fake...from an appraisal scam.

Is it the domain names that I register ,are they that bad??? I have had them on sedo, ebay, godaddy and still no real offers...i would love to see how they go in auction, but need offers to get them rolling...
Here's the list can someone give me some appraisals....some I have already had in this forum ....i think...
all .COM's
Rmech
OnlineForDesign
PayLodge
CreditTemple
NGPhones
PPESupplies (personal protective equiptment supplies)

Magnizmo

all .NET's
PhotographyCareer
StockCorp
FitnessAddict

and .ORG's

Well for starters it may take a full year to adjust your learning curve and acquire better names. This may mean letting some of your names drop or trading up by selling for reg fee and below to hopefully buy better and better names.

Diversify and research! Judging by some of the names posted, most appear to be reg fee or low-mid $$. So a name on Sedo with a minimum bid
of $60 may not translate with most of your current names. Don't lose heart though, it took me a full year to finally sell a couple on Sedo one for high $$$.

Perhaps take one of your names like PhotographyCareer.net and develope it..?

Best of luck!

I dont liek saying anything negative but none of those names are going to sell for more than $50 and relistically reg fees. there probally wouldnt be much traffic and cant think of any end users who would want these. DOnt give up , you just need to refine your name picking skillz but let all these expire when the time comes.

I do like CreditTemple.com However I would suggest having a look at
www.SwapNames.com Perhaps trade them for something else?

Sometimes even selling at reg fee is alot better then taking a loss.

hope this helps :)

Wow thanks people...I think ????
no really thanks for the honesty. Well I will be keeping a couple cause I have started developement on them but swapnames sounds good for the others...

I would love to hear from everyone else ...maybe some more tips for me and other novices...

Stop buying so many brandables. These require someone with a developmental vision for the name.

OnlineForDesign $5
PayLodge $5
CreditTemple $15 - $25
NGPhones $2
PPESupplies (personal protective equiptment supplies) $2
TootsCasino $1
LRLoans $5
Magnizmo $5

.NET's
PhotographyCareer $5
StockCorp $15
FitnessAddict $25

.ORG's
Prognostic $5

Just my .02

(Also - don't register at 1&1 - I was debating making an offer until I saw the registrar - nobody wants to deal with 1&1...)

thanks IamAllanShore ,but may I ask what the big problem is with 1and1 they have been great for me, and cheap.????
looks like you know your stuff ,so my ears are open..

I think I will give domaining a break and just stick with web design till I learn more from you guys.

Forums like this are so powerful, for us novices

PayLodge.com ... keep it parked for awhile and wait it out - someone may make a real offer ... probably worth $xxx at most right now, but that's still a lot more than $6 or whatever you paid.

Magnizmo.com - very brandable and yet simple enough to type / remember ... plus your usage of it as your username shown on posts, etc over the past year adds even more value. $xxx value potential, if you do even something simple with it, such as putting up a nice webpage on it - ie. make it your homepage for domain related stuff; use your imagination.

The rest of the domains unless they get some traffic are likely worth reg fee at this point - probably best to drop / dump before renewal time...

However, as others have pointed out, domaining is more an art than a science so ultimately you have to do what you are comfortable with.

thanks heaps domagon,

I started developing magnizmo months ago ,but then changed my mind witht the design..so Im redoing it..
A site for Paylodge will be way to time consuming.
For some reason I like StockCorp if only it was a dot com....I don't know why I like it ,it just sounds professional????

I put some of these in swapnames.com just to see how they go....

really appreciate your help peopel keep it comin..
