I have had these three shorties

on4.com
on5.com
at8.com

for a while but now have been approached by a possible enduser for one of them.

Any views or comments re value (particularly end user)?

Any more details about the End user ... which one they want in particular, and reasoning for wanting it? Does their E-mail address give you any indication as to where they are from, etc?
May help to "fine-tune" an Asking price ... ongoing negotiations, as I see it. Three "character" domains, generally ... are quite limited in the Wholesale arena ... $75 - $125+ at the End user level, absent any other information, IMHO. Ask higher and work your way down!

Domain in question is on4.com

End user apparently has "on" in his company name.

Initial offer just in today is $500 (in response to my asking him what he thought the name was worth to his business).

What do you think I should do?

I would accept the offer, IMHO.
One could make the argument for Asking more (perhaps with a "package" for the other "On" domain) than the amount on the table (in reply to your query), but this could also work against you, as well ... not having read the full response.
Appears to me that as sale may be in progress.

I appreciate all your comments and I did take them into consideration but I truly thought the name was worth more than $500 (as it actually spells out something rather than being a run of the mill jumbled up 3 character name) and the initial offer did appear to be just that.

I am always very loath to accept an initial offer as it leaves the parties wondering if they have really got the best from the deal, which slightly spoils the win-win outcome that everyone wants.

People usually leave at least some negotiating room when they make an initial offer and I took the risk of losing the sale by asking in return for £500 (ie about $850) - the buyer is in the UK.

I am pleased to say that this has been agreed with funds to be transferred to my bank on Monday (due to the postal strike affecting parts of the UK preventing a cheque from arriving promptly).

Thanks to everyone for their support and comments for this one.
