Today, YSL looks at the 2nd step in the process of search engine optimization. A definition of on page SEO is the placement of keywords and media onto a webpage. Another part of on page is editing the title and meta descriptions. The last part of the process is to create original content. Now how do you achieve the perfect combination of all of these factors to create a high ranking website? SEO is actually all about numbers. Every process can be defined as a statistic. For example, how many times you use a keyword on a website. This would make up a certain percentage of the content you have wrote, How would you know the optimal percentage to use your keyword? Well there has been many case studies. Good morning everyone. I would like to share how I do keyword research and competitor analysis. The first thing you will need to do is download the Moz bar. This is a tool bar that allows you to see your competitions authority and domain rank. Next your will to go to majestic.com

and type in the url of your competitor. It is a free service. There they will list what anchor text they use and what their backlinks are. I like to do this first before i look up keywords on AdWords keyword planner.

Today I will continue on the subject of keyword research. If you are new to SEO, it is possible you will be easily discouraged if you don’t see results within the first few months. To combat this, I would suggest you find low to medium competitive keywords on Google AdWords. Also, you should try to optimize your website to use long tail keywords. These are keywords that usually have low competition and represent a more accurate market for your website. Once you have established some results with these keywords and have practiced search engine optimization techniques, I would advised you then to use more competitive keywords.

I have managed thousands of websites this past decade. Each of them focusing on low, medium, and high competition keywords. I can tell you this. There is a huge time differential between ranking for low and high keywords. I will give some examples of some of the projects I worked on.

When I first started practicing SEO, I decided that I should create a portfolio of experimental websites to show to an agency I wanted to work for. To my surprise, the very first website I created ranked number 1 for a low competitive keyword in just 5 days! The low competitive key was "free quality backlinks" is you are wondering. Then a couple of days later, I achieved the 1 number spot for medium competitive keyword "quality backlinks". As you can see with example, with the right research you can begin to see results if you try your hardest.

Here is the bad news. You will not ever be able to achieve these kinds of results with high competitive keywords. The fastest I have ever ranked a client number one is about 3-4 months. On average I would say it takes half a year to reach the first page of Google. Also to keep in mind, not all high competitive keywords are the same. Some are almost nearly impossible to rank for and are not worth the effort.

On-age SEO is not just about numbers, it is an art and lots of things have to be in mind while doing on-site SEO because without the help of on-page SEO you can't get the benefits of off-page SEO.

In my opinion, I agree that SEO is not just about SEO numbers even though many SEO people that are researching SEO are told that SEO is about the numbers of SEO and if you want to succeed at SEO then they key is to do SEO in all forms of SEO so that SEO is sure to have a positive impact SEO wise, especially on-page SEO and not just off-page SEO.

SEO is best when all forms of SEO are used to SEO a website or blog so that the SEO affects have a good impact SEO wise and that's the true mark of an SEO specialist that knows all forms of SEO and not just on-page SEO or off-page SEO.
