If you haven't heard of Ogg Vorbis...
"Ogg Vorbis is a completely open, patent-free, professional audio encoding and streaming technology with all the benefits of Open Source. The Ogg Vorbis format has proved popular among open source communities; they argue that its higher fidelity and completely free nature make it a natural replacement for the entrenched MP3 format."
It's also gaining steam in the commercial sector - the PC port of Halo uses it for game audio. Also, the music sites Jamendo and Mindawn use it, and several national radio stations such as CBC radio and Radio France provide Ogg Vorbis streams.
Anywho... oggvorbis.net and oggvorbis.org.
any ideas as to value?
(sorry for the long post)
