not sure what you lot think off ogg vorbis names, but I reg'd these a while back, the format is slowly gaining popularity , especially amongst game developers.

anyway a 'few' of my bunch for appraisal

LOL. better not ask me, look at my sig Like you i bought a handful about 2-3 years back but MP3 took such a foothold i just kept the one.

Still time though i'd say...you never know.

the number of typeins are increasing gradually each month, although they are still quite low & just recently the official ogg vorbis site has received an overhaul so looks like there is a bit of activity,hopefully this trend will continue to rise. Once all major portable players support the format it should take off ( I hope )

Yup they are still working away at OGG Vorbis. It recently had some fantastic benchmark tests against MP3, AAC and a.n.other too...won hands down. The latest alpha release was late in 2005 so activity is still there. The big question now is whether people can be bothered to re-encode everything or start over. May take years or a big player to support the format but you never know. Good luck.
