Could you possibly appraise my domain www.office2008.co.uk
It seems like a good generic domain and easy to remember, plus it also might gain activity with the release of microsoft office 2008.

(Also if anyone is interested in buying it please pm me, as i am looking to sell)

This could cause problems with Microsoft in my opinion. It could be considered generic but it does seem to have been registered in the complete knowledge of the Microsoft office program.

Possibly, but i would of thought that as long as i dont display information related to microsoft office then i think i should be ok?

Any more apprasials or do people agree with the above? Unless i get any offers on it i think ill just turn it into a parked domain.

Possibly not the best place for such a discussion here but it does not really matter if you mention Microsoft Office or not on the site. The domain content would clearly need to be office related and you could be directly competing with Microsoft using their product name.

Well good luck to you in the domain business, but remember domain business is like any other business, ones word and reputation is ultra omega, nobody wants to do business with a guy who is unethical and try every way to get what he wants, even though its unethical and unmoral.

Of course it is a lie. But after I read the kid's thread about this in legal issues and how smug he was I thought it would be fun to see what happened when he contacted Microsoft. :imho:

I am certain it is what he wanted to hear.

He stated he bought it to develop but has it for sale in his sig.

Honestly, this is a forum designed to teach people about the domain industry, not encourage them to make poor decisions. We strive hard to make sure that everyone is welcome here. Imagine if someone had suggested something similar to you when you first began domaining. Please keep that in perspective.
