Just curious does anyone know what the hell is going on? 9 days to auction so why in the hell have they not finished the list and started their "Promotion" to earn the 15% of my sale price. Monikers auctions have turned into a joke recently way to many inferior names at the auctions and numbers being carried on the back of one decent sale. How do they expect to get a bunch of bidders if there is no list out other than a few of the live auction names?

I usually buy about 10-15k worth of names at the traffic auction plus spur bidding on others I dont win but I for one will not be buying in this one and I am emailing my account manager to let him know not to include any I have submitted to the auction in the auction. These names had to be submitted in october or november

Monikers attempt to corner the auction market has actually in my minds led to better auctions by SEDO (Though very poorly run) and snapnames etc. Moniker does not have the staff or time to run 2-3 auctions a month like they are trying to do

whole list isnt posted but what is funny is I have one they have been advertising in the live and I just withdrew it. Wont go into details of it but I have a problem with a company that says the list will be ready 30 days in advance to "promote" the domains and 6 days before the auction it is not out. There is a matter of principle here. I dont care about 50 grand as much as I do about respect. I removed all of my domains from the auction today just sent the email. i was even told yesterday that the list would be out no later than 9 AM. I have regged almost 1k domains in 3 months at moniker when they asked for my business. I have bought close to 75k in domains at auctions (moniker) last year not counting what I lost increasing peoples profits as well as monikers.

To the owner of SkiResorts.com my appologies but I will not be purchasing your domain as I would have. Was willing to go quite high and funds were in place. Please call and talk to Monte and let him know if he wants to walk the walk of a big league company then he needs to run his business like a real business not one that is being run out of his basement with his inlaws.

To the owner of oversee.net I believe you may have bought yourself a business in shambles. Looks like big changes are needed and i wish the best to you. Please let me know when you can live up to your new companies past promises of 30 days before an auction for the list to come out or start telling the truth. To little staff to evaluate domains so you can make more profit and take your clients for granted.

To howard at moniker there is a word called customer service and being polite. I am sorry you have never heard of those two words. There is a great book you can buy called how to win friends and influence people I might suggest you read it

As an aside, how much do they charge to attend? And, has there ever been a verified sale - and then leading to a fully developed and promoted website - to someone other than an Usual Suspect™ ... at any of the Traffic Shows to date? IYHO's. :gl:

I called Moniker around 3:30 EST and they are still working on the final list with no estimated completion time available as of yet.

moniker has the list, they are creating more interest in not releasing it. i think it will prove wise for them, and for property holders in the auction. in fact, we should hope they are enjoying moments of relaxation right now as they have some hectic times ahead of them.

I don't share that point of view. I submitted a number of domains to Moniker over 3 months ago and they've essentially had a monopoly on those names this entire time. We're only 4 days away from the conference and I still don't know if any of those names even made it in.

That might have worked before when they were the only live domain auction game in town but that's no longer the case. Sure TRAFFIC has the buyers but when the sellers start taking their names to other auction venues due to better terms and shorter exclusive rights periods, those buyers will follow.

I agree with Bill. It would be more wise to post the list ahead of time so that buyers can do there research and arrange liquid funds then get a list of 5000 names last minute. This last minute stuff is bad for both buyers and sellers, imo.

Yes, I also have not heard anything from my rep, but saw one of my names in the auction list as well.

I just got back from a mini-vacation and saw the Moniker email. It looks like I got 10 names in the silent auction (I had 22 at the Miami auction last year), but I'll have to look through the list to see if I missed any others.
