Howdy all!

I got an email from some dude expressing interest in buying Chargecard(s).cc (yes, the singular and the plural) but I'm not sure what to counter offer, if I do decide to sell them.

I asked him to offer up the first price for which he asked for stats. I was honest to say that within the last 3 - 4 months of development (yeah, I'm slow) I've only made $160 in commissions and that I get 200 - 350 uniques per month.

His offer was $750 which I think it rather low. I mean, yeah it's not making huge amounts of dough, nor is it getting tons of hit but I think that's due to my own inexperience and lack of time to market the site properly. On the other hand... it's pretty darn developed! I mean, there isn't much more one could add to it... is there???

SO... having said all that... what do y'all think these domains (both), pages and all that coding (time & effort) is worth???

Many thanks in advance!

Lyte

EDIT: Adding link for easier viewing... ChargeCards.cc

Hi Lyte,

You have developed a VERY nice website with the name. If you spent 3-4 months on the development of it then I'd consider $750 to be a slap in the face. I personally wouldn't let it go for under the low $x,xxx range as it has alot of potential to earn some very nice commissions with a lot of dedication and a strong marketing strategy. I'd hang on to it before I let it go for that kind of price IMHO. :gl:

I wish you the very best with whatever you decide! :)

All the Best,
Chris

Thanks for all your responses! Anyone else?? :|

AND, how do y'all think I should respond to this guy?? Should I just double what y'all suggest... like, ask for $6K or $8K and hope he comes down somewhere in the middle??

Please advise! :tu:

I dunno...the .cc doesn't seem to be catching on too well.

If your making $60/mo a decent starting bid is $720. (which he beat btw)

Factor in your time and that the name is great for the extension.

I think a price of $1000-$1200 would be fair for both parties. IMHO

Counter with $1250 if you really want to sell. Otherwise just hold on to it if you don't need the money and see if the .cc gets more popular.

Even with 200-300 uniques/mo throw Google ads on there man! Credit card keywords are great. I think you can double the sites earnings at least that way.

an eminently sensible pricing strategy to be contrasted with some of the alternative wild thrashings....

I think that it is a decent offer to start off. You should put some google ads on. It will match the site and you will definitely get a lot of clicks from all that traffic.

Seeing this site makes me want to develop check.cc and contract.cc!

Never leave these out...cuz ya just never know! :D

For a wild thrashing let the interested party know your going to put Google on there if he doesn't meet your price. That may make them sweat a bit if it was their idea too.

Counter high!

You haven't had the site reach its full potential. As others suggest, put google up on your site and watch the monthly revenue grow.

let that run for a quarter and then you will have concrete value to sell.

I think you have done great here
