Octopus.Energy big TV ads no .com

Interesting use of the new gtlds on TV big campaign. They don't own the com but own the .co.uk.
Will they in time purchase the com giving the leakage of emails. Its a retail facing website and their main site. Full on public usage of a new gtld.
Interesting to see how this one pans out.

domain news today:
1.dxc technology --- they both have dxc.technology and dxc.com , but they launched dxc.technology for their website and dxc.com only for redirecting to dxc technology .
2. one video editor company used http://blend.media for their website, poor blendvedio.com is still for sale .

.com is redundant for their brands
