Having the exact same word twice in a domain does nothing but send the value into a downward plunge usually, having abbreviations of a name along with the unabridged version preceding kills it completely.

In short, it screams desperation.

You can repeat nyny because its ny state followed by ny city. BUT the problem with this name is when you repeat "new york" you then dont put "city" on the end. $0.
