TLD stands for "Top Level Domain" with extension endings that follow the string in a domain name like COM/.NET/.ORG, but now there are others! ICANN has approved the creation of "new generic level TLDs" (nTLDs) last year. They will allow people to register, shorter, relevant and recognizable domains. Instead of ilovemydog.com, it will be possible to register mydog.love or lovemy.dog or a whole bunch of cool new options!
