Of all of the IDN's this has got to be one of the better?

I have not optimized it yet for japanese but it pulls in many ads in Japanese from Nikon etc... when tested.

I know that IE7 is not fully released until later this year.

How do you think this will rank? in Japan and other areas that speak the language once all browsers can understand the IDNs?

For now I am going to park it and watch the stats.

Undev do you think it will have resell value?

If you had カメラ.com would be worth quite a bit. のカメラ.com is pretty much worth $0.

My advice, if you want to get into Japanese Domains, is to look for bargains on the aftermarket. Fresh reg's that are worth anything are going to be hard to come by unless you are a native speaker and can dig up some hidden gems. Even Japanese .biz domains, which just launched a week ago, are really picked clean.

Don't worry about it too much; it's how you learn. Just check all of the tools before you reg. Also, I register mine at Dynadot, you can cancel the reg within 5 days for a full account credit...
