And they're both at different registrars (though that doesn't necessarily mean much), though I didn't find the person's name for the 9jv. If it is legit, you've got a steal at 105 per name, anyone would grab that... which is why we're all questioning this, right?

Edit: my mistake, typed in the wrong one; they are indeed both owned by the same person and regged at Godaddy. Any developments, Gorilla?

Why were you dealing with him via PM, did he contact you first? This is the 'fixed price' area and not offers or auction, so once Gorilla B posted 'sold' that's all she wrote. I wanted the names at that price too and would have paid more, but after a name here is sold you just gotta have the respect and don't go up-bidding privately.

To the OP: do you really want to lose your membership here at NP, and your ability to sell/trade/buy any more names here, just because you're holding out for another few tens of dollars on a couple names? I won't get into the ethics of it since that doesn't bother you, and I won't get into the smarts of it since you can check out the famous 'Wenzel' site that shows just what people think of you when you try to go back on your original deal; I'll just concentrate on your pocketbook - it's a great forum here for domaining, I've checked them all and this is simply the best... and you'll lose your membership over being indecent and fudging on your deal here.

Thanks everyone... it started out shaky but its because Nick is new to domaining. Nick had told me that there were higher offers but did sell to me upon good faith.

I do think that Nick is an honest person but just very new to all of this.

The transaction has been completed and we are both very happy now.

I knew that, people (including me) do it all the time; I had just wondered if you had PM'd him AFTER Gbob had posted 'sold'. People still do that too, unethical though it is. Thanks for clearing it up that you PM'd him before Gbob had posted sold in thread

Great to hear the sale was cleaned up, Bob, and that it was a simple newbie mistake. I love it when a potential mess gets cleaned up nicely and no harm done.

You did decently and came out of it honestly, and proved we were a bit quick to jump the gun. Everyone here leaps to take care of each other if anything looks even slightly out of place. Things get investigated right away, and I can get a bit quick on the draw myself
