So 126000 domains registered in the nation of 180 million people? That is one domain per 1500 people.

the .ng is relatively new. Also, a lot of that so-called 180m people don't know anything about online businesses, talkless of the domain.

How relatively new it can be?

Even if only 50 million new, there should be 1 million+ registrations. Germany has 10MM+

    How much is .ng?

The OP talks about 2nd and 3rd level .ng names with 84% of active regs being 3rd level and a quick search finds web4africa selling them as cheap as $1.25. Example: kumquat.name.ng. Second level kumquat.ng for high rollers is $31.43/yr.

There is no special process needed to register of a .NG domain name, no special action is needed on your end.

    It's not as expensive.
    .NG goes for like $25
    .com.ng for a little less than $3
