So, I'm sitting here quietly last night just minding my own business, watching the snow, and drinking my Dr. Pepper ... and suddenly the phone rings! :yell:



It's my buddy ... and what's he up to? He just got a new job and his boss sticks his head around the corner of his office and what does he do? Offers him TWO FREE TICKETS to the Patriots vs. Indy game this Sunday at 4:45 p.m. EST!! :tu:

Right! So, my buddy thinks of his best buddy, the 'Cool Kid (yours truly ) ... and so I'm going on Sunday courtesty of some siper duper rich corporate type who proll'y has a yacht and lots of minnions running around.

Now ... and the REAL reason for this thread ... who wants to do some NP$ wagerings here in this thread for this weekend's FOUR (4) NFL Playoff games?!?
All bets will be against the spread as posted in tomw's Boston Globe (I will re-post tom'w), and minimum bets will be 100 NP$'s either against each other ... or the "house" (me, basically). :blink:

There will be caps on wagered amounts, just in case your "house" has an overwhelming response to this post.

For now ... just a quick list of folks who may be interested. Please remember that NP$'s can translate in to REAL Paypal $$, all bets are binding, and one can lose all of their betted amount(s), and there are no guarantees of profit.
18+ is the standard disclaimer, though all professional-minded, mature folks are permitted to play, naturally. Fun is the goal, NP$'s and profit is secondary.

Here are the Official "spreads" that we'll be using for Sunday's two (2) games here in this thread (these are directly from this morning's Boston Globe):

New England (-3) @ Pittsburgh (game starts at approx. 6:45 p.m. EST).
@ Philly (-5) vs. Atlanta (game starts at approx. 3:15 p.m. EST).

Mull it over some, gather your thoughts (as well as NP$'s) ... and I'll be back with some "House" (that would be me, only) wagerings by later today/tonight! Please remember the usual "disclaimers" (be sure to read the first page of this thread), and remember ... I was 3 for 4 last week, winning HUGE NP$'s (so I'm a bit unstoppable)!

New England is -3, that means the spread is 3 points in their favor (giving points), they must win by 4 or more points for you to win on a -3 bet. This also means that Pitt, is taking +3, so if you bet on them, they must not lose by more than 3, so to win that bet they have to win or lose by 2 or less points! In this type of spread, points, there isnt a ratio on the line, becuase there is a vig (juice) wich means that the money is not an exact amount. If i was to be new england -3 the juice (vig) would be anywhere from -110 to -150, wich means this: If i bet $10 on it and it wins I get my $10 back, plus $9.09 back. The .91 cents goes to the house! this way the house never loses. the vig number is converted into a decimal, -110 = 1.10, so You have to bet $1.10 to win $1.

Did i just go into way to much detail. I am a really big digenerate gambler. :lol:
