domain Newbie Portfolio

[Our House]

Hi everyone. New domainer here. Today marks one full week in the business.

Would appreciate your input on the DNs contained in my starting portfolio; either individually, or as an entire group. I will put smileys next to the ones I like the most.

Mods, feel free to move, remove, or edit out the adult names on the list. I posted them here instead of the adult forum because I'd like to hear comments on the entire porfolio (as a whole) as well. Apologies if it's too much of a problem. There aren't more than 3 or 4...I promise.

If you see a proper place for any names (parked, resold, developed) please let me know. Right now, they're all parked for the time being. I plan to develop some of them, but not sure which would be best.

- the value of your typo domains will depend on the revenue you get from parking, so you should be able to tell if you keep them parked for a month
- any one of the tm'ed domains can bring your new domaining business crashing to a halt and you might want to stop regging these kinds of names (cnn, dell, mlb, nba, nhl, etc.)
- my favourites: downloadterminal, proschat, the undergrad's, usgamers

overall, you probably should have started out with a smaller portfolio unless you have a lot of patience and many development plans.

I have early development plans for a few names. As a matter of fact, I'm supposed to be getting together with a developer tonight to discuss some of them.

Patience isn't much of a problem. My current "full time" job is playing online poker. It takes up mayyybe 2-3 hours a day. Domaining looks pretty bitter-sweet from what I've gathered so far, and from what I can tell, the majority of the work for each site's profit is done upfront. I enjoy that over the 40 year plan.
