Newbie, but eager to learn

I am going to take my parked names off Sedo and try to develop them. I have not done this before, so I am seeking the advice of the experts at NamePros. What program is the easist yet cost-efficent for a novice. I am wanting to develop a simple site similar to this one http://www.handbagloft.com/
with afflifates, AdSense and so on. I would truely appreciate any advice that you may have. Thank you for you input, in advance. This is a wonderful community.

you need to start by learning basic HTML. do you know any? if you don't, try these basic tutorials:

imo, best thing to ask for is not what program to use, but what to learn.

learn basic html, and CSS (in notepad). you could use GIMP for the images easily, and still make a decent site.

if you want to splash out however, you can get photoshop, and dreamweaver.

I would say Dreamweaver would be the best program to start with - you have the option to work with the code or with the visual development part. Adobe's website has a 30 day trial.
