Hi! I own the domain names, googleauctions.eu and googleauctions.ca.

Does anyone know where I should try to sell it or do you think it is better to keep it for a while?

Thanks, Joe

I would cancel the domain names. Google is very aggressive about protecting their trademark. You could get a cease & desist, or worse, sued. Don't bother trying to sell them.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, and good luck.

Yep, you're definitely on to a loser there. Google will go after anything and everything to protect its trademarks.

Example: Look at this list and the amount of Google related domains Google owns - mostly by "acquiring" them from their previous owners. The list isn't very recent but you get the idea.

It is worth a C&D letter from Google.

I would drop the names immediately. The only thing that you will get from trying to sell these domains is a lot of trouble

Get rid of them I know a friend of mine they were threaten to sue if he didn't give them the name in 3 days.

That's where your plan doesn't work.

If I'm reading your suggestion right Googleau Ctions(?), there's no way Google is gonna believe that.
The fact is there's no word in real life called "google" let alone "ctions"

It's totally obvious GoogleAuctions.com is exactly that and was regged to trade off the Google trademark.
Your C&D letter is probably already on its way.

I'd love to say "no" but the answer's probably yes.

In theory you could write a Guide to Google but I very much doubt you trying to help people to learn how to use Google will be seen that way by Google.
Expect a C&D letter because the chances of you getting away with that domain name are slim and none.

In fact, I wouldn't even bother trying to develop it, Google won't even care that you could be trying to help people, and you'll just have to give them (or drop) the domain name anyway.
