New Site Design

Hello, This is my first time posting on here.

I'm working on a professional, yet user friendly design, I need feed back on. Any ideas or help is appreciated.
The website is still in development.

I'm a professional web developer, i have design background but not much of an idea creator.

Very nice. I really like small clean designs like that.

The graphic and the menu style is very nice and suits the design brilliant.

As already said though, something to seperate the menu and the main content would make a good edit.

Not bad, not bad at all. I thought the text was little on the light and small side though. The homepage really needs some work (content is king). The navigation was ok, but you might do better by providing a main nav near the top then place those other links on the side. People will find things a lot easier that way.

Yes, I actually going to have a writer take a look at my website to make it sound professional and fix all my grammer errors
Kinda hard to do the programming, graphic design and writing.

thats one of the nicest logos i have seen in some time, kudos to you, excellent job, let me know when the site goes live, wouldnt mind a good look!

i think that between your:

and the rest of the content the rest of the page down, it would maybe look nice with a gradient filled div like the one with "Home » " inside it to break it up / just an idea..

the main text is well to cluttered, either make the text bigger, or seperate it into paragraphs, i didnt want to read it alll!

other than that, the lack of content is the only thing which bugs me...

A few things for you to ponder.

It looks very attractive. I would perhaps make the text a little larger by default, and a bit darker.

I didn't quite understand what the "original>>enlarge>>enlarger" thing was until I clicked on it. Perhaps "Font Size: Smaller | Current | Larger"

The navigation bar is very good. Just differentiate it a little more from the rest of the page - maybe put a light-blue border around it.

Also, maybe a horizonal line at the bottom (perhaps with a small copyright notice) would make it clear that it is the end of the page.


Otherwise, I like it - well done!

hey, guys..

I've been working on alot of inside coding on the site. Just finished up the Instant Online Quote system.

Tookout the font enlarger out for now and made all fonts on the site 11px. I have an editor reviewing all my poor grammar on the site lol.

I'm still pondering away about differentiating the navigation from the body text.

As for the logo, I had a really good friend of mine make it for me, he very talented graphic designer, wasn't for him i'll probably be stuck with a crappy monster template logo :D . You can check out his site www.keyesdesign.com.

im not saying you wouldnt normally, but well done for saying where the credit was due, nice one.

I get really pissed off with people ripping off other people. (remember metallicdesigns? he was the last straw for me)

so what you did is honest, and normal, everyone should be like that..
