New Search Engine to Operate from 304 Domain Names

New search engine Megaglobe released to the press today the full list of the company’s 304 operational country-specific domain names (see below). The URL’s will allow users unique access to Megaglobe in their language and country site of choice.

The release of the domain names will give potential users the opportunity to familiarise themselves with Megaglobe’s capability as an international search engine before the search engine’s launch, according to CFO Danial Moore.

“Megaglobe is a new international search engine and we will be operating under the listed names, one URL per country and territory,” said Danial.

Though the date has yet to be confirmed, the launch of the search engine will be soon, he said.

It looks like waste of money indeed. It's difficult, tedious and expensive to secure all TLDs. Since they have the .com they could create as many subdomains as they want :imho:

Why do the make the country names in english if they want to focus it for each country? Isn't the reason to make country specific so that people from that country will be able to read it? Not everybody knows their country name in english so they'ld still be lost.

Like in example www.whatevercrapitwas-netherlands.com just doesn't make sense, www.whatevercrapitwas-nederland.com would be much more logical if you ask me.
