Hi everyone! ๐Ÿ‘‹

I'm Ogezi from Nigeria ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ.

New to domaining but excited to learn from you all. I focus on short, brandable.COM names perfect for startups and tech companies.

I joined NamePros to learn, connect, and contribute. Looking forward to being part of this amazing community!

Thanks for having me ๐Ÿ™

Wow thank you so much @internext ๐Ÿ™

I'm very new but eager to learn. Your advice means a lot.

Quick question please: For a newbie with โ‚ฆ0 budget, do you recommend starting with brokering hand-reg names for startups, or buying $12 names to flip?

Thanks for welcoming me to NamePros!

I would look at NamePros bargain bin and check out the auctions. It's pretty easy to multiply your money because you can find better names than what you can hand reg (usually), and domains can be had pretty cheaply here. I've personally flipped a name I bought here for $12 into an $8,000 sale. That is not a common result, but it can happen. To start, a better goal may be to buy something you can double or maybe even 10x. Start off having fun and learning what works for you.

Avoid trademarks, start with .com only, and read read read. Ask yourself, "Who would want this name, and how will it benefit them?" If you can not answer, it is probably not a name worth buying. Keep your holdings manageable. Renewals get expensive otherwise.

Just my opinion. Best wishes!

Wow @internext this is GOLD! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’›

Thank you for taking time to write this. "Who would want this name?" + ".com only" + "renewals expensive" = Rules Iโ€™ll never forget.

Quick follow-up please: For bargain bin, what's ONE red flag that makes you skip a $10 domain instantly?

Learning so much from you. Thank you Sir!

improper English or hip spelling that breaks the radio test, i.e., MyGirlZ.com or Mooonglow.com

Just to start, while you learn.
@internext Thank you so much! This is pure gold ๐Ÿ™

Radio test + .com only + proper English = Got it!

One more quick question: When you flipped $12 to $8,000, did you email the CEO directly or use a broker?

Learning from the best. Thanks for helping newbies like me!

Directly. A good broker usually wants better, higher-valued names

Thanks @internext ๐Ÿ™

I'm trying your method now. Found apexaiintel.com available for $12.99.

Emailed Apex Intelligence LLC CEO directly. Email delivered. Waiting for reply.

If she says yes, my finder's fee = $400. Zero risk play like you taught.

Praying this works! Will update you.

Hello everyone,

I am pleased to join NamePros. I have had an interest in domain names for many years and, at one time, managed a fairly large portfolio.

After some time away, I am returning mainly to learn, exchange ideas, and better understand how the domain market continues to evolve.

I look forward to participating in the discussions.
AND MOST OF ALL I HOPE TO GET TO KNOW YOU !!!
Best regards,
Tonny
