New domain addict here

Hello all!

I signed up here a while ago and have been buying domains at auction that were of personal interest to me but I hadn't really gotten into the idea of collecting domains as an investment until now.

It all started innocently enough a little over a year ago when I received an "offer" (which later turned out to be an appraisal spam/scam) and found you guys via Google when I was researching the "buyer". Thanks to this forum I avoided the scam and have been browsing the forum ever since.

I'm not sure exactly when the domain bug really took hold of me but it was some time around when I got my 1st LLLL.com.

Anyway, now I'm hooked so I figured it was time to introduce myself. Thanks again for saving me from that appraisal scam and for all the great advice everyone has posted here and I hope I'll be able to contribute to the discussion here.

I like to collect anything that looks potentially interesting that I can get cheap. I'm hoping when the economy is better and people have more disposable income that I'll be able to resell them at a decent profit.

I'm not sure what my best domain is. It would depend on what criteria constituted "best". I'd have to say z1g.com is my best judged by potential sale price and ease of finding a buyer.


My favorite domain is reddawn.ru which I registered just so I could have the email address "[email protected]".

Funnily enough thats how I found the forums (probably the same scam, the guy had actually names these forums himself in part of the scam and then it was from these forums that I learnt it was a scam.......
