I think it might have potential, I have speculated on similar domain names knowing the Illuminati and there love for dates and symbols.

The next movie, which hasn't been confirmed, will most likely be based on his book Angels and Demons, and I would assume it'll keep the same name, rather than changing it to Illuminati - seeing as the illuminati aren't the sole focus of that book.

I'd think Angels and Demons is the english name of the book. Illuminati it's called in some europeans countries as far as I know.

Anyway, angelsanddemons.com is already regged by Sony Pictures since 2003 and shows no content now. I know that movie companies reg their movie domains approx. 1 year before shooting starts. 2003 seems quite early though as shooting has not started yet. Maybe it was meant for another movie. No idea.

The logical answer for the 2003 reg is that they had originally planned to make a movie based on his earlier book. Remember, The Da Vinci Code didn't come out until 2002. Then with the popularity of da vinci, they probably decided that was the most lucrative venture. And apparently they were right. I saw the movie last night, it was pretty dead on to the book. I don't really care for Tom Hanks though, but it was worth seeing.

I don't think the second movie will be as popular if they make one, because it doesn't have such a controversial subject matter. Sure, people will go see it because it's the same guy who wrote the Da Vinci Code, but obviously what made him so famous was the fact that every church and christian in America (and probably the world, i dont get out much) was talking about it.

Personally I think he should write a book about the secret organization of the Smurfs...

Deception Point
Digital Fortress
Angels And Demons
Da Vinci Code

Angels and Demons is his second best-selling novel, and is the first in the series to star Robert Langdon, the main character of Da Vinci Code.

In some European countries (such as Germany), Angels and Demons is known as Illuminati however it is mainly known across the world as Angels and Demons.

well...I am from Europe and here they talk about the new movie as "Illuminati"....
it looks like I have to pray that they will call the movie: Illuminati" and not "Angel and Demons" which in german or italian or dutch or any other language would sound not as good as in english...and since the word "Illuminati" is understandable in every language they will most likely go for that... lets see what happens.....

The titles of most movies tend to get lost in translation to non-english territories (some of them are hillarious) so even if the movie's title in the UK and US etc is Angels and Demons, its possible that it could be marketed at Illuminati in other territories.

Even if that is true, then the market for this domain is limited on the territories it applies to. Until we have confirmation that the movie will go ahead, and following that, confirmation on its name in various markets etc, then this domain as one based around the movie doesn't have a lot of potential.

HOWEVER

There is a lot of potential for this domain outside of being themed around the new Dan Brown movie - the rise in interest over such groups as the Freemasons, Illuminati, Knights Templar etc which has been fuelled by the furore over Da Vinci Code as well as many other events etc could bolster the development potential of this domain name.

And, if all else fails and the A+D movie is not named Illuminati in any territory, then its not inconceivable that at some point a movie based solely around this society will surface.

I'm not going to take a shot at a value for this because I think theres a lot of variables to consider if you persue the potential A+D movie tie-in. Any other direction you take will depend entirely on how you develop it.

I hope thats at least made some form of sense and has been helpful in some way.
