Network Timeout

Hey there, looking for a bit of help.
I have some webspace running a few different sites. I cannot access any of the sites from my home network, however everyone else I speak to can access it :td: It worked fine until i uploaded alot to it as I am moving servers on an older site.

I really need access to this as our domain is getting taken off of us and we are looking to upgrade servers with the domain change.

I keep getting a "Network Timeout" error on firefox, and no other browsers work, however if I use a proxy it works fine, but I don't want a proxy! :P


:EDIT: I asked someone who lives not too far from me who is also on Virgin Media, and he cannot access it either :td:
Any idea why this has stopped working, and how I can gain access again?

I just got off the phone to Virgin Media, and I was on hold for about 5 minutes, and at 2 minutes past midnight, I was told there was nothing technical they could do after midnight.... how unfair.

Then he went on to say that It was probably due to the website owner blocking IP addresses, even though I am the owner, and there is nothing blocked, I checked from a different ISP.

I think that your ip is blocked on the server.
Ask support to check the ip tables too.

In this case better to find free proxy website and recheck to make sure

it worked for a good few hours last night!

And I can get on using a proxy, but its not very handy.
(i can even get on using VM's proxy, which i found strange)

it's strange because the VM proxy i use is not an annoymous one and still keeps my same IP

Slash there are lots of free proxies. Just do search for web proxy and you will see

Getting a proxy was fine. It was just too much hassle switching between proxys etc for when I go between different networks and such...

So i just got some new servers

That virgin media suck. But the new servers are alot better anyway, so I can't really complain
