Hi guys, what do you think about .network domains?
To be honest I like it, and although there are few domains registered with this extension (18 k), there are a lot of end users and site developed with this extension:
https://www.google.com/?q=site:.network
With long extension I prefer short domain name (L/LL/LLL) or keyword related to .network extension.
United States is the first country in number of registrations, second is Germany and then UK.
I own only 3 .network domain.
yo . network
ok . network
ll . network
Reg price is cheap, $ 14.

Hmm...

.network is better than .net?.... more reliable?

Seriously?

So if .commercial comes out it will be better than .com too right?

While we are at it .organization will be much better than .org??????????

Most anyone seriously considering a .network will probably check .net for availability first.
That`s my honest opinion.

.Net is a secondary domain, as I mentioned I wouldn`t even bother to click a .net website even its listed 1st on google search.

That`s me.

Using a .net website would be the last think I would do as a business owner.

For .com and commercial, it is not the same case.

.com is reliable

The point you are missing here is most of the internet users don`t even know the meaning of .com or .net

Maybe native speakers aware of its meaning but most of the internet users don`t know that com states for commercial and net states for network.

For me I own zero .net and I am not planning to own any, so I would choose .network over .net.

You might have a point there, most regular folks think .com means company.

New internet users will definitely click the websites built on .network extension if they are listed at the top in the search results compared to .net websites

HeHe

Is there still such a thing as a new internet user?

I think anything listed on top of google is bound to be clicked more often. Most people never venture past the first 1-2 pages of search results.

For me .networks only works if the keyword makes sense together with the extension.

Examples:

Best match?! Social.network
Fantastic matches: The.network, Mobile.network
Great matches: Business.network, Job.network
Good matches: Sports.network, Computer.network
Decent matches: Car.network, Bitcoin.network
Poor matches: Boat.network, Blackjack.network
Horrible matches: Pencil.network, Linda.network

And yes, I am aware of reserved names as well as premium rates and renewals. ;) I have not considered these in the list above.
