I like the domain name, Retrocore - sounds nice. Brandable. However as for the site, I don't think it's at a stage where it should have been launched. The design and look of it is very ugly. Almost looks like some kind of error page you'd come across as if the site isn't working. For a webdesign portfolio site - that is not at all well designed.

A bit more colour and thought towards design as well as more content would help you a great deal. As it stands now I don't see much value to it other than the reg fee.
