Hi,

I'm sure you are all aware of Nepal's Pro Democracy movement in the news right now.

I tried to grab RepublicOfNepal.com on wednesday but I didn't have funds in my registry account and when I went back today someone else had registered it and the .net and .info too.

Nepal is currently a monarchy, The Kingdom Of Nepal, and it looks very unlikely that The King will remain in power.

If he goes into exile than Nepal will become a Republic.

However The Communist Party is part of the old democratic coalition and they will probably have to do a deal with the Marxist Insurgents, to form a government, if and when democracy is returned.

For this reason it is quite likely that a Nepalese Republic would actually become The Peoples Republic Of Nepal.

Remember that 'The Republic Of China' is actually Taiwan.

China is 'The Peoples Republic Of China'.

I know it was a gamble and I wish that I had secured RepublicOfNepal.com but speculation on current events offers good opportunities.

As you say it's a "gamble".. as they are terms not currently in use, I'd say reg fee - low xx.. good luck with them.

I like regional domains, but I don't think I'd care to speculate in current event domains. Too chancy.. todays' trends and events are quickly forgotten tomorrow.
