Hi, I'm rather new on the site and to web development. I'm wanting to develop several National database directories, and have seen similar site that allow the user to select a region or State by clicking on a map, which then gives you the opportunity to further hone your selection by an alphabetical array of cities in that state. Once the city is selected the advertisers are shown. for the life of me, I can not find where these sites have gotten these scripts. Can anyone shed some light on this subject for me?
Much appreciated.

This involves using an HTML image map to point to queries in the database. I can't recall offhand seeing anything like this pre-made.

Is this something you are willing to pay for? Or you want to find something free?

stumpted!

No, it is something that I would gladly pay for ... but because I have seen it and similar copies it would seem that it is common for what I am trying to accomplish. I mean, must national directories seem to have one...that's why they can focus from the national level down to the local areas. free or a charge, I think it is out there somewhere...I do appreciate your replies B-)

Dave

Here are two examples of what I am talking about:

http://www.homesandland.com/

I see these directories all over the web, covering a variety of topics. I can't believe that there isn't a ready source for the basic script.? :o
